J&E Industries, Inc. – Supplier Flow Down Minimum Requirements

After receiving and accepting a J&E Industries, Inc. purchase order, all suppliers accept the clauses below in their entirety.  J&E shall retain the right to ensure all the requirements below are met by each supplier that provides products/services. 

Product Safety/Conformity Awareness/Ethical Behavior

The supplier shall establish a communication method that ensures their appropriate personnel are aware of their contribution to product safety/conformance/ethical behavior. The supplier shall ensure only materials specified on this PO that 100% comply with all specifications/acceptance criteria are supplied to J&E Industries. No material substitutions or nonconforming products shall be released without prior approval by J&E Industries.  The supplier shall ensure that personnel performing work for J&E Industries, Inc. are qualified and deemed competent to effectively produce acceptable products/services as required on J&E industries, Inc. purchase orders.    

Risk Notification

J&E Industries shall be promptly notified whenever the supplier becomes aware of suspecting any product already delivered to J&E Industries contains a component that is subject to a recall notice, warning alert, and/or any other type of notification or concern regarding product authenticity, quality, safety, process integrity, and/or specification compliance.

Counterfeit Part Prevention

The supplier shall develop and implement a counterfeit/suspect product prevention plan. This risk mitigation process shall aim to prevent counterfeit/suspect material from being supplied to J&E Industries. The supplier shall only provide products directly from their own evaluated/qualified/approved supply base.

PO Requirements Flow Down to Sub-Tier Suppliers

The supplier shall assure full compliance to all quality related Purchase Order (PO) notes and requirements. When products/services applicable to this PO are procured by the supplier from their own sub-tier suppliers, the supplier shall flow down all quality requirements to assure full compliance is achieved throughout the entire scope of supply.

Certified Test/Conformance Reports

A certified material test report (CMTR) and/or Certificate of Conformance (COC) shall be submitted to J&E Industries on every PO. The supplier shall ensure these CMTR/COC reports include the following information (as applicable) based on the product being shipped:

Original manufacturer’s name

Part number with revision & material specification

Traceability identification such as a Batch/Heat/Lot number

Date of manufacture/test acceptance

Chemical/Physical analysis with actual test result values/verification of special processes (i.e., heat treat, NDT, passivation, coatings, etc.)

Supplier Retention of Quality and Inspection Records

Quality and inspection records shall be produced and maintained by the supplier to provide evidence of conformity to requirements and the effective operation of their Quality Management System. As a minimum, quality records (such as inspection reports, test reports and product conformance certifications) shall be maintained for a period of seven (7) years after completion of this Purchase Order (PO) or as otherwise stated elsewhere in this PO. These records shall be readily available for review by J&E Industries at any time within this time period.

Quality Management System

Suppliers are required to implement and maintain a quality management system that conforms to a recognized international standard such as ISO9001, AS9100 or similar quality system.  When requested, suppliers shall produce a third-party certificate showing their conformance to a specific standard.  Suppliers shall provide corrective actions with root causes on quality nonconformances, when requested.  Devices used to assess conformance shall be calibrated to traceable standards and assessed periodically to ensure suitability for use.

J&E Access to Supplier Facilities (including supplier subcontractors)

Suppliers shall grant the right of access to their facilities/subcontractors to J&E and their customers/regulatory authorities to the applicable areas of their organization including documentation pertaining to the purchase order supplied to J&E Industries, Inc.
